We are musicians from across Yorkshire who enjoy playing a wide range of music written or arranged for woodwind, brass and percussion (and double bass!)
While we were in lockdown we made a lockdown recording of a very quirky arrangement of Happy Birthday to celebrate our 25th anniversary.
We're now back at rehearsals and pleased to be working towards our next concert.

Yorkshire Wind Orchestra are hosting Come & Play rehearsals for brass players and percussionists. Whether you are interested in becomming a full member of the orchestra, would like to be added to our deps list or simply want a fun evening of high quality music making with like-minded musicians, this is a great opportunity to find out more about Yorkshire Wind Orchestra and to meet our members. The open rehearsal is open to the following instruments:

The Come and Play rehearsals will take place at our usual rehearsal venue, Kettlethorpe High School in Wakefield (Stanbridge Lane, Sandal, WF2 7EL).
The evening is FREE to attend, but we encourage anyone wishing to join us to register their interest in advance - registration will allow us to monitor numbers, make sure you have a suitable part to play and help us keep you updated with details about the day as they become available.
