As well as our regular concerts, Yorkshire Wind Orchestra is keen to get involved in interesting projects and to collaborate with other musical organisations and charities.

Examples of activities we’ve been involved in recently include:
- Christmas workshops for very young children in Sheffield
- Workshop for young musicians across Doncaster which included ensemble work and gave an opportunity for participants to play with YWO in an informal concert
- Day of shared music making in Hull with the Culture:Music wind orchestra
- Joint concert with Lodge Moor Children’s Choir in support of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity
- Joint concert with Sheffield Youth Big Band
- Concert of light classical music in support of Wakefield Hospice
- Informal Pay As You Decide Spooktacular concert
- Flute days
We’re looking forward to future collaborations with the Great Yorkshire Chorus, Sheffield Teachers’ Choir and the Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir.
