Description: | ![]() Two chamber groups made up of past and present members of the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra will present an informal and intimate concert of chamber music for clarinet and flute. The Cumulus Clarinet Quartet is a dynamic ensemble which plays with a rich, expressive sound. The quartet showcases the unique qualities that make clarinet ensembles so special—seamless blending, wide dynamic range, and remarkable agility across registers. The clarinet’s natural ability to produce both smooth, lyrical lines and lively, virtuosic passages allows the Cumulus Clarinet Quartet to explore a diverse repertoire. Their performances highlight the full expressive potential of the clarinet family, creating a captivating and immersive musical experience. The Wren Trio is a close-knit flute ensemble where friendship and musical synergy come together to create a truly expressive sound. Featuring piccolo, concert flute, alto flute, and bass flute, the trio blends soaring melodies, rich harmonies, and resonant bass lines with seamless communication and intuition. Performing a diverse repertoire, the Wren Trio’s shared passion and camaraderie bring warmth, spontaneity, and vibrancy to every performance. |
